Oh my heart!ĭoctor Tucker Wright is the town doctor in Licking Thicket. If you want to smile, swoon, sigh, and even giggle, then you NEED to read this book. Just when I didn’t think I could love this quirky town any more, I met Dunn and Tucker, and fell even harder. That felt like a missed opportunity for more comedic gold. pig that slept every night inside the house, under the dining room table. Then as the story was wrapping up, I wasn't a huge fan of the "info-dumpy" last bits, which told the reader a whoooooole lot of closing details versus showing them, feeling as though the story was breathlessy racing toward the finish line.įor me to have so thoroughly enjoyed the story before that change-up, it left me slightly annoyed, but I'd still rate the story at around 4 stars and recommend it to fans of the series.Īnd just as a side note, I would've loved more humor included with Bernadette, Dunn's pet 450 lb. I didn't find that chat change in tone, from light-hearted and fun to more angsty, all that entertaining, which caused me to lose a bit of interest. The book was working for me 110% on every single level, until fucking Jenn Shipley grabbed the wheel, not helping one damn bit, as the story swerved into oncoming traffic in the form of major insecurities and doubts. The entire coffeehouse went dead silent like someone had turned a giant off switch on the back of the building. If Tucker wasn’t going to put him in his place, I would. I couldn’t sit here and listen to any more of this nonsense.

I loved how both guys thought they were being so covert, when in reality, the whole town knew that the belonged together, with Dunn's mother completely taking the cake on seeing her son's soulmate from miles away. However, when Dunn saw Tucker seemingly start to connect with another guy, OMG, Jealous Dunn was super-entertaining to experience.

I absolutely adored both Dunn and Tucker right from the beginning, with the pair being cluelessly perfect for one another, but Dunn bound and determined to set up Tucker on one truly bad date after another. Continuing in much the same fashion as the first two books in this series, this story started out really strong, with hilariously-ridiculous situations that I found to be extremely funny.
